Hella Ægissíðufoss

Small stroll along the Ytri-Rangá river to a gushing waterfall.

Hella Ægissíðufoss

Near the town of Hella in the south, there lies a nice little waterfall known as Ægissíðufoss. It can be accessed through a nice little path that starts at the Hella campground and follows the river downstream. It's a nice walk to a prime fishing location and a beautiful and lush spot. The walk is easily accessible, but as it's close to the river, it can be muddy and slippery. At the start, there is also a restaurant and Hella has a nice swimming pool as well as a supermarket and several hotels.
